Updating the Smoothwall SSL VPN on School laptops

 

  1. Please save and extract the BSfG-VPN-New.zip file to a local folder. 
  2. From the Windows Start Menu or the Desktop shortcut open the Smoothwall SSL VPN app.
  3. From the system tray, double-click the shield icon.
  4. On the VPN launcher, and click Import.
  5. In the Import config file dialog box, under Import existing Configuration section, click the ellipses and navigate to the extracted BSfG-VPN-New folder and select the BSfG-VPN-New.ovpn file.
  6. The application will confirm the successful import and then you can connect using the school username and password.
  7. You can right click and delete the previous one.

Please remember to always disconnect the VPN when finished.
